Starsailor Are Back With New Album
- Written by Marky Edison
Starsailor are back with their brand new album All This Life, which will be released on September 1 via Cooking Vinyl. It's their first studio album since 2009. The band have also announced a full UK headline tour this October after their stellar performances at Hyde Park's BST last Friday alongside Phil Collins and Blondie and the Isle Of Wight festival last month. Starsailor today also announce a full UK headline tour (see details below).
Starsailor were in the vanguard of indie bands who followed the Britpop explosion becoming leading lights of the scene in the early ‘00s gaining huge success with a string of ten Top 40 singles. They have always focused heavily on their songwriting craft (lead singer/songwriter James Walsh has also written for the likes of Professor Green, Mel C, Pixie Geldof and more) and released their debut album in 2001 to widespread acclaim.
Walsh describes the album recording process; “Recording the album was an intense and rewarding experience and we're excited to get it out there. There's a good mix of the aspects of the band people know and love, and a few changes in direction.”
