It’s Do Or Die For Wishing Well

Finnish metalheads Wishing Well will release their third album, Do Or Die, on March 13 via Inverse Records. The album was engineered and mixed again by Henrik Sirelä at Loiste Production Studios in Helsinki, during 2019.

With Do Or Die, Wishing Well stick to their trademark style, made by mixing many different hard rock and metal styles and welding them all together by vocalist Rafael Castillo’s dark and raspy voice and Arto Teppo’s roaring, distorted Hammond organ. This time Wishing Well is more metal than hard rock, though once again they manage to surprise the listener with something new like the ethereal ‘Cosmic Ocean’, which features classical guitar and flute.

The whole album radiates power, passion and energy. The band features the same line-up as on their previous “Rat Race” album. That is Chilean vocalist Rafael Castillo, organist Arto Teppo, bassist Rick Becker, drummer Juha Kivikanto and guitar player Anssi Korkiakoski.

“It’s great to get this album out and we feel it’s the best thing we’ve done so far. With all touring and playing together we’re a tighter unit than before and I think you can hear that on the album. We tried to do everything a little bit better than last time but at the same time we still wanted to leave it a bit raw to keep it fresh and organic. We try hard not to be like everybody else. We know what we’re doing and we enjoy it. We still keep our heads in the clouds and our feet on the ground and hope that people will like the album.” says band leader, Anssi Korkiakoski.

During 2018-2019 Wishing Well toured with Doogie White, TANK and Alcatrazz plus played festivals and clubs around Finland. Do Or Die is an album you don’t want to miss if you like your hard rock and metal with power, passion and energy. Wishing Well knows what they’re doing and with the new album the band keeps the promise they’ve given on their previous releases.
