Leon Of Athens’ latest single 'Utopia'

'Utopia' pulls together melancholic electronics and solemn vocal tones before bursting into a jubilant bright chorus bursting with optimism. Taken from his upcoming album Xenos, produced by David Kosten (Bat For Lashes, Everything Everything), due out on January 19. The album is a beautiful, thoughtful piece of work, informed by the refugee crisis, the rise of fascist groups in Europe and Brexit, but also personal upheavals: fractured relationships and death in the family.

It follows the highly acclaimed release of his 2015 album Global, which was championed by the likes of The Guardian, NME, Q, New York Times and more. London-based Leon has been inspired by life within a country that has been facing many challenges in recent years. Consequently, his music has become a huge draw in his home country where he has played to audiences of thousands.

He recently played a sold-out UK and European headline tour, which included a headline show at The Lexington, London. He'll be returning to the capital on November 17 for a performance at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen.
