Doncaster’s John McCullagh is back with a brand new single, ‘Box Of Tricks’, after establishing himself as one of UK’s brightest song-writing talents.

Since his last single in February, ‘Towerland Lullaby’, which saw him work with Alabama 3, McCullagh has played across the UK and abroad, as well as working on material for his forthcoming second album Newborn Cry, due for release in early 2015.

McCullagh's new single ‘Box Of Tricks’ is to be released as a download on Monday October 13 and as a 7” edition the following week. The vinyl edition boasts an exclusive B-side, a version of Richie Havens’ classic -‘We Belong Together’, recorded late last year in Belgium.

McCullagh will head out on tour in late October before embarking on a prestigious support slot with Cast from December 9-21.

Following a blazing performance at the Reading and Leeds festivals, Mother have announced new track ‘Up For Hours’.

The new single will be a double A-side single release 'Up For Hours / 'The Blue Moon' out via Warren Records on Monday September 8. The northern garage-rockers have been building up a reputation what with performing at the Reading and Leeds festivals BBC Introducing stages and having picked the fancy of both Radio 1 and NME. This all coming before releasing the debut single!
