Lorde Releases Mockingjay Part 1 Single

Lorde’s contribution to the latest Hunger Games film Mockingjay – Part 1 has finally been released.

The 17-year-old singer spent last week posting Instagram pictures revealing lyrics of the new song, and yesterday, the single 'Yellow Flicker Beat' was finally released. You can watch it on Vevo now or purchase via iTunes.

The highly anticipated single offers an intriguing glimpse into what has become one of the most talked about soundtracks of 2014. Co-produced by fellow GRAMMY® Award-winners Paul Epworth and Joel Little, 'Yellow Flicker Beat' is Lorde’s third official U.S single. The single will be released as part of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 soundtrack, which is curated entirely by the New Zealand artist herself and will be released via Republic Records in November.

Man Made Announce New Single & UK tour

Rising Manchester-based trio Man Made are set to release their brand new single ‘TV Broke My Brain’ at the end of September, as well as heading out on a full UK tour this October.

Man Made have already found themselves sharing stages with the likes of Broken Social Scene, Bright Eyes, The Lemonheads and Badly Drawn Boy, as well as performing at the Reading & Leeds and Latitude festivals.

The band’s time spent in the Pacific North West, as well as their native Manchester, has seen their influences widen to include American guitar bands from the Portland, Seattle, and Olympia scenes, as well as the rainy atmosphere of their hometown.

After easily earning a reputation as one of the most exciting bands to watch for in 2014, Man Made will be releasing their new single on Monday September 29.

‘TV Broke My Brain’ will be released on Monday September 29 and the band’s debut album is set for release in early 2015. The band are heading out on an 18-date UK tour this October (see dates below) and a show in Manchester on the NME ‘New Breed’ tour this November.
