Cage the Elephant Announce European Tour and New Single

In about three weeks (Monday December 18), Cage the Elephant will release their new album Tell Me I’m Pretty via Columbia Records. So an announcement for a string of February shows in the UK and across Europe in 2016 is their next appropriate action.

These gigs will be the first since the band last played with Foals at Alexandra Palace in February 2014. The five piece will be hitting venues like Bierkeller in Bristol, Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, Underground in Colonge, Germany and Vega Small Hall in Copenhagen in February 2016.

Tell Me I’m Pretty was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and The Arcs, mixed by Tom Elmhirst and recorded at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, Tennessee.

Cage the Elephant have unveiled their new track ‘Trouble’. You can listen to it now below:

The Coral to Headline Liverpool Sound City 2016 and Release New LP

It’s been half a decade since The Coral last released a new LP, but thankfully they are back next year with Distance Between.

The eighth studio album will be out on Friday March 4 via Ignition Records. Backing up this release will be a UK tour, which includes a London show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Wednesday March 16 and a headline show at Liverpool Sound City on May 29.

Distance Between follows on from 2010’s Butterfly House. Recorded live at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studio with co-producer Richard Turvey, it was mostly recorded in one take. The album is dedicated to Alan Wills, The Coral’s early mentor and Deltasonic label boss who lost his life in 2014.

On their latest venture, lead vocalist and guitarist James Skelly explains: "Before we started making the album we had discussed that we wanted it to be more minimal and rhythmical.

“We thought ‘if you've got a rhythm section that’s been playing together for almost twenty years, why not make that the centre of the songs?’"

Dates for the bands 2016 UK tour can be seen below. Tickets go on sale 9am on Friday November 27.
