Cut Ribbons Unveil Title Track from Debut Album

Welsh indie-poppers Cut Ribbons have revealed the title track to their forthcoming album We Want To Watch Something We Loved Burn.

Talking about the track, singer Aled Rees says: "We wrote this during a really sunny spell of weather and I think that's what shaped the feel of the track. We come from a coastal town but the lyrics were written whilst I was in Tenby. In the van coming home from shows, seeing Mumbles lighthouse and the pier, only then it feels like we are almost home. It was something that factored into the imagery but not so much the narrative. We want to watch something we loved burn is just the personification of reckless abandoned, a pretty romantic notion to write about I think."

We Want To Watch Something We Loved Burn is set to be released Monday August 21. You can listen to the track now via SoundCloud.

Upcoming Live dates:
21st Aug - The Ffwrnes, Llanelli
4th Sept – Festival Number 6, Portmeirion
12th Sept – The Big Cwtch, Crugybar
26th Sept - Underground Festival, Gloucester

Gold Jacks Release Second Single 'Take It Back'

Following on from 'One Kinda Woman', Gold Jacks are ready to release their second helping with 'Take It Back'.

The latest offering sees Gold Jacks slowing the pace and allowing the sultry sleaze of pure guitar-driven rock to slip through the track’s intentional pauses, in turn brought about by a deft understanding of musical spacial awareness. The apparent simplicity offset by Stewart Burns’ impassioned vocal.
