Vandebilt Are Pushing Through

Vandebilt is an English electronic funk punk outfit led by multi-instrumentalist Jordan Miller and lead vocalist Joey “crack the dawn” Crack, and is completed by Jack Wade (drums) and Daniel Martin (guitar).‘Pushing Through’ is a song which typifies this band’s style; it’s bursting with virulent energy, combining body-moving rhythms, relentless synths, indie-pop strings and in-your-face vocals.

Speaking about the track, the band’s cornerstone Millers states that “We wanted to write a track that hits you and then it hits you again. It's honest and angry and intense. It's about showing how brave vulnerability can be. Despite all the shit, as people we can still push through. I didn't realise it at the time but I wrote it to myself.”Born in Miller’s studio in early 2018, Vandebilt draw influence from French house, UK synth-pop and 70s disco and perform their blend of dance music as a live ensemble despite originally recording tracks as a personal project for Miller.

Early demos found their way to producer and DJ Smoove (Smoove & Turrell) who began working with the group and encouraged the project into a live band. Inspired by fresh sounds and high energy, Smoove began to co-produce and mix Vandebilt tracks playing heavily on the disco-house elements of the music.

Live sold out shows quickly created a buzz on the North East music scene and the bands infectious uptempo tracks were both hyped and sought after. This lead to talks with Tipping Point Records and in late 2018 the band signed their first development deal. The band will release a string of debut singles throughout 2019 showcasing a variety of catchy dance bangers recorded in Millers 'Pamplemousse Recording Studio' Sunderland, UK.

Bitch Falcon To Support Black Peaks On Tour

Acclaimed Irish rock band, Bitch Falcon will support Black Peaks on their upcoming UK tour this October.  The band have already performed to packed venues at The Great Escape, ANTIfest, Camden Rocks Festival, Y Not Fest and many other recognised music festivals this summer.

Four years on from an initial explosive emergence, the Dublin-based three-piece haven’t so much discovered their voice as relentlessly refined it. If anything, they relish in sharp declarations, their signature sound always moving forward even when throwing a nod to the past. The aesthetic is raw, even a touch frenzied, yet the chaos is controlled in a ferocious through line that harnesses the strongest elements of rock, grunge, metal, hardcore and melodic electro-pop. Through it all, Bitch Falcon make this busy mix sing in a distinctive, once-heard-not-forgotten voice.

Up close and personal, they make an even greater impact as the band’s deserved reputation as one of Ireland’s most engaging live prospects, comes to the fore. In their time together, the trio have shared the stage with the likes of Fucked Up, Torche, Girl Band, Sleeping With Sirens, The ZZZ’s, Fontaines D.C., Pussy Riot and Le Butcherettes.
