As you would expect from any act on the Secret Entertainment label, Rückwater play a completely unconventional take on heavy rock. They cite the influence of Down, Corrosion of Conformity, and Queens Of The Stone Age, and if you like those then you’ll like Rückwater.

Formed in 2010, The Finnish stoner rock trio boast not one, but two, lead singers and lay down a sweet groove of churning guitars throughout Bonehead.

The opening 10 minute instrumental, ‘Once More With Feeling’, is part-shoegaze, part-goth, part ‘70s-Kiss, and part-Explosions In The Sky.

While the one minute long ‘Super Frustration’ is death ‘n’ roll worthy of Entombed at their peak, leaning heavily on first wave hardcore punk with a finger clickin’ toe tappin’ groove.

Jussi Vehman (Vocals/ Bass), Make Makkonen (Vocals/ Guitars), and Jape Makkonen (Drums) release their third EP on Friday February 24^th following on from 2011’s So Far Out… and 2013’s What’s In The Box?
