The Menzingers UK & European Tour

The Menzingers have announced an extensive UK and European tour, which is set to kick off on January 28 2018. The tour will comprise 19 dates across the continent, including a show at o2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London on February 3, which will be their biggest headliner so far on these shores. They’ll be bringing Canadian punk band Pup and fellow Phildaelphians Cayetana along for the ride.

2017 has seen The Menzingers release their much-celebrated latest album ‘After the Party’. The band followed its release with tours and festival appearances worldwide, including a largely-sold-out UK tour earlier in the year and a positively celebratory set headlining the second stage at 2000Trees Festival this summer.

The Menzingers set out to make the quintessential jukebox record with ‘After the Party’ and the result is an unstoppably melodic album primed for bar-room sing-alongs, which has also translated to enthused singing crowds in their hundreds and thousands. For all their anthemic harmonies, furious power chords, and larger-than-life melodies, the garage-punk four-piece are increasingly adept at delicately crafted storytelling and everyman romanticism. ‘After the Party’ ultimately proves to be a wistful but life-affirming reflection on getting older but not quite growing up.

Slothrust Bring Manchester Orchestra On UK Tour

US based blues-grunge trio Slothrust release brand new track 'Milking The Snake' as well as announcing themselves as the main support to Manchester Orchestra on their upcoming tour. After the success of the recent LP Everyone Else, a sold out US headline tour and Lollapalooza appearance, Slothrust have announced their brand new track 'Milking The Snake'; a B-side from 'Everyone Else' and a raucous and guitar heavy offering, the track leans far more towards their punk and grunge influences than previous releases. The band also today announced they will be main support to the Atlanta indie-rock act Manchester Orchestra on their UK and European tour, starting in Manchester, UK and ending in Hamburg, Germany.

Slothrust is Leah Wellbaum (Vocals,Guitars), Kyle Bann (bass), and Will Gorin (drums). The trio first staked out their unique strain of jazz and blues-afflicted rock with their debut in 2012. Their 2014 release 'Of Course You Do' included the song '7:30 am', which is featured as the theme for the self-destructive romance series 'You're The Worst', which established the band as a breed apart. Slothrust serves up deceptively clever epics that veer satisfyingly between incandescent riffing and pop hooks, winsome anxiety and powerful heft.

The band's 2016 release Everyone Else features complex rock anthems, including the singles "Like A Child Hiding Behind Your Tombstone" and "Rotten Pumpkin," that reward repeated listens, drawing heavily from their love of 90s grunge as much as their technical leanings. The band will be in the UK and Europe from October 21st. 'Milking The Snake' is available to listen to now.
