To celebrate the forthcoming annual Record Store Day this month, Muso’s Guide will be running related features leading up to the event on Saturday 20 April, including interviews and Q&A's with record store owners and employees across the country about the importance of Record Store Day in helping to spread the word that the independent record shop is still very much alive in this era of downloading and MP3's. 

Hipsville makes its debut on the Sixties/Garage festival scene this year over the weekend of 10 - 12 May. At time of writing acts including Wild Evel & The Trashbones, The Masonics,  Les BOF!, The Shook-Ups, The Norvins, The Stags and Speedball Jr., along with a host of DJs, were confirmed as appearing in Bisley, Surrey over the three days.

Andrew Bennett took the time to answer some questions about how the weekender came into being:-

For three years Joy Ike’s doting fans have waited for the arrival of her fantastic new studio album All Or Nothing. Here at Muso's Guide, we thought this would be a brilliant time to catch up with her, delve into her world of music, and find out what the wonderful lady has been up to for the past few years!

Whilst in London earlier this month I had the pleasure of meeting up with two of the four members of San Cisco - guitarist/lead vocalist Jordi Davieson and drummer/vocalist Scarlett Stevens, after the last gig of their recent UK tour. First interview anxieties on my part quickly vanished in the company of the incredibly friendly duo, and we got talking in more detail about the band and their recent experiences on the road.
